Request an AppointmentFrequently Asked Questions
What should I expect during my first physical therapy session?
During your first visit at Aylara Pelvic Health, BreeAnn Allred and her team will complete a thorough evaluation of your health history, current condition, and goals. From there, we design a personalized treatment plan that may include guided exercises, manual therapy, and education to help you feel confident in your recovery journey.
What type of visit should I schedule?
Initial Evaluation: For new patients, past patients with a new diagnosis, or anyone not seen in over a year and not on a maintenance program.
Follow-up Visit: A continuation of your existing care plan; schedule an Initial Evaluation instead if you're addressing a new or separate issue.
Lactation Visit: Targeted treatment for a clogged milk duct or mastitis, combining therapeutic ultrasound, manual lymphatic drainage, heat therapy, and posture guidance to relieve the blockage.
30-Minute Dry Needling Appointment: A focused trigger-point dry needling session for patients who've already had an evaluation and discussed this format with their provider.
Should I see a physical therapist or a personal trainer?
A physical therapist is the right choice when you're dealing with pain, an injury, a new or ongoing diagnosis, or need a clinical evaluation, since PTs are licensed to diagnose and treat movement and pelvic health conditions.
A personal trainer, like Alicia Wood on our team, is a great fit once you're pain free and cleared for general exercise, and want structured coaching to build strength, endurance, or fitness.
Not sure which one fits your situation? Reach out and we'll help you find the right starting point.
Do you take my insurance?
We are not contracted or "in-network" with insurance. Unfortunately insurance really limits our abilities to provide the best care for you. They don't have your best interests at heart, but we do. This also helps us to reduce overall cost. Some insurance plans include "out of network" coverage. This is typically a percentage that your insurance company will reimburse directly to you. You will need to submit documentation to them, which we provide for you at no additional cost.
You may use HSA/FSA cards for your PT visits.
If you are willing to use cash for massage, lashes, a hair appointment, acupuncture, or a gym membership, which are all valuable, why not for skilled, one on one, doctoral level care? What is your quality of life worth? What would you pay to be able to do what you love again, be out of pain, or be "normal"? YOU are worth it! Your HEALTH is worth it!
We understand that there are many financial situations, and do not want this to deter you from the care you need. All costs will be discussed up front. No surprises. We offer payment plans, so if you have difficulty with the cost for visits, we are happy to discuss options with you.
A Whole-Body Approach to Healing
Understanding Your Pelvic Floor
We start with education, so you understand what your pelvic floor is, how it works, and why it matters, before we ever talk treatment.
Healing Is Possible
Non-surgical, individualized treatment plans built around what real recovery looks like for your body, not a generic protocol.
Movement for Every Season
From exercise and postpartum return to menopause, we help pelvic health support your daily life instead of limiting it.
Empowerment and Self-Advocacy
We remove the shame and silence around pelvic health, so you feel confident speaking up for yourself in every medical setting.
Whole-Body Wellness
Your nervous system, hormones, nutrition, and mental health are all connected to pelvic function. We treat the whole picture, not just the symptom.
